The Spud Inc 3 Ply Deadlift Belt combines support with comfort. Traditional powerlifting belts can be brutal on the midsection, so if you want something a little more comfortable this belt is for you.
The other big advantage of the Spud weightlifting belt is that it’s so damn easy to get on and off. No playing around with buckles, just hitch it up tight and the industrial velcro will lock it in place.
The three layers of nylon webbing have been thoroughly stitched together. The end result is a belt that is much more flexible and softer than the traditional leather belts. But when tightened, it really braces your section.
Marc “Spud” Bartley is a champion powerlifter, so anything with his name on it is going to be the real deal. So don’t think for a minute that because this belt is made from nylon and velcro that is going to be lacking in support. The velcro and the webbing are all industrial strength so they won’t let you down on your big lifts.

Fantastic product, the photos don’t do justice to how well made and sturdy the belt is. I’ve always had buckle type belts and was wary of velcro but this is velcro does not slip and even sitting down holds grip. Great service from Sams, regular updates and quick shipping via aus post. 5 stars. PS you can watch the Spud you tube clips on fitment and size advice. I wear XL pants (waist 38-40) and the XL belt is very generous and just fits me.
