Chain training is not a new concept, in fact it has been around for decades. It is designed to help you to overload your CNS via progressive training/strength curves.
A strength curve is a mathematical model which shows how much power can be produced at a certain joint angle. They can be broken down into two categories:
Ascending – squats, bench press, deadlifts and any other exercise which are easiest at the top of the range of motion.
Descending – pull ups, rowing exercises, side lateral raises etc.
Chains happen to be the best possible assistant for this type of training.
