ATX have watched all this play out. You can tell by the depth and quality of their range that they have some of the best design and manufacturing capabilities in the market. By analysing the strengths and weaknesses of the competition they have produced a machine that gives you the best balance of quality, functionality and affordability.

More about the Power Cage

The Power Cage which is the centrepiece of this gym, is built with 70 x 70mm 3mm structural steel. Although it is elevated on feet to accommodate the lower cable section, the rack does not need to be bolted to the ground. The Power Cage with Cables is loaded with that many quality components it will not move, even under heavy loads.

The J-Hooks and Spotter Arms are both the latest designs. You can adjust your barbell position quickly and precisely. The holes are spaced 50mm apart so you can really dial in your optimal starting position. Both Spotters and J-Cups have barbell protection.

An aerial view of the ATX® Power Cage with Cables showcases its multiple stations, pulleys, and bars. Made from durable steel, its ideal for strength training exercises with prominent ATX branding.
More about the Lat Pulldown

ATX power racks are renowned for having one of the best lat pulldown options. This latest series has gotten even better. Most importantly they have gotten even smoother. The combination of the solid 20mm guide rails and nylon bushes is used on many of their platforms, including the famous Trinity Tower.

The adjustable anchoring system now features PU rollers. If you top out the 125kg weight stack, which will be impressive given it’s 1:1 ratio, you can always utilise the resistance band system. The weight plate holders on top of the weight stack can also be used for micro loading.

Footrests for seated rows are common these days. So to get bragging rights, ATX have made them extendable so you can get a huge stretch on low pulley rows.

The ATX® Power Cage with Cables has a weight stack featuring plates labeled in pounds and kilograms, ranging from 11 lbs (5 kg) to 170 lbs (77 kg). The pin is currently set at the 27 lbs (12 kg) plate.
More about the Functional Trainer

The features above have all been standard fare for ATX for a long time. The integration of a functional trainer is what sets this power cage apart in the ATX range. And it is the design that sets this Power Cage with Cables apart from the competition.

Naturally the striking part of the design are the extra wide, adjustable pulleys. Traditional designs with standard pulleys can be restrictive for exercises like cable crossovers. This set up gives you the same range as a cable crossover machine, but in a more compact footprint.

Some of you might be questioning the single stack design. Dual stack designs not only cost more, but fitting them on the cage tends to compromise the power rack or lat pulldown functionality. Dual stacks can sometimes make it hard to use the rear posts of the power cage. Or the lat pulldown and seated row may have two cable connection points. This will restrict the range of cable attachments that you can use.

ATX have been perfecting their single stack dual pulley technology. They have used it successfully for years on the ATX-CPS-600 Corner Pull Station. This design will get you as close to the feel of dual stacks – even better that dual stacks that use poor designs and components. For most if you close your eyes, you will never know the difference!

The list of exercises that can be performed is never ending. Although this is not cheap, you are getting the highest quality power rack, lat pulldown machine and functional trainer all in one compact footprint.
